Sidewalk Chalk Paint: Perfect Summer Activity!

With all this warm weather in the Bay Area lately, we’ve doing some art outside. I’ve used sidewalk chalk before but never tried sidewalk chalk paint. Until now. I wanted to post about this because it’s a great summer art project that’s easy to make, fun to do and easy to clean up.

All you have to do to make this stuff is mix equal parts of water and corn starch. Then add a few drops of food coloring. Mix it around and you’re ready to paint!

Here are some photos of us painting with chalk. Look at those colors!…

Along with the pavement, some kids chose to collect leaves and paint them too!

This one couldn’t resist pouring the paint and looking at the drips and drops and rivers it created.

And again…those colors!

Try it this summer!
