Just Say it with a Pushpin

In Kindergarten drawing class this week we spread positive messages to our community through art. First we learned about patterns and how to makeĀ  zengangles. Then we used those new skills to draw little paper hearts with markers. Each little heart had a positive message written on the back. One child wrote, “I love everyone”. Another wrote “Peace to the World”. We laminated them with contact paper and then each child chose a tree on the sidewalk to pin their heart on. Spreading the love with art!

Inspired by Alameda artist Deidre Freeman.
